The Egypt international has been heavily linked with a move to La Liga in recent months following his stunning Premier League return.
Salah, 25, netted 44 goals in all competitions under Jurgen Klopp, with Real Madrid and Barcelona tracking the former Chelsea ace.
And according to Spanish news outlet Don Balon, Messi is open to Barca signing Salah over Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann.
The France international was expected to join Barca this summer, however, the move may not be as straightforward as first thought.
And Messi has told the Spanish giants to sign Liverpool ace Salah if Griezmann stays at Atletico.
Don Balonadd that Salah is keen to head to the Nou Camp this summer.
Should Real and Barca make a move for the Egypt star, the Liverpool talisman would rather link up with Messi and co.
Salah has been vocal on his Reds future, with the attacker revealing he’s happy at Anfield.
When asked if he will leave Liverpool, Salah told Egyptian TV channel ON ENT: “All that I can say is that I’m happy to be here and I’ve adapted to the prevailing atmosphere.”
Griezmann has confirmed that his future will be decided before the World Cup, which starts on Thursday.
The 27-year-old almost joined Manchester United last summer, however, the striker decided to stay at Atletico after the Spanish giants were hit with a transfer ban.
