The last minute dramatic U-turn of PSG star exit for Barcelona return

NEYMAR is set to snub a return to Barcelona and stay at Paris Saint-Germain, according to reports in France.

The Brazilian superstar had been linked with a sensational move back to the Catalan giants.
The forward was reported to have requested a move away from Paris, just a year after joining.
Neymar’s 2017 move broke the world transfer record when he signed for £198 million.
But ever since he joined, he has been plagued with bad press, and claims that he was unhappy.
In the months after his transfer, it was reported that he had a falling-out with team-mate Edinson Cavani.
Now, some have claimed that the Brazilian is unhappy at all the attention wonder boy Kylian Mbappe is receiving, and it has been suggested that if push came to shove, PSG would rather keep the Frenchman than him.
It was reported that Barcelona were prepared to spend £200m to bring the star back in the summer, as even Ernesto Valverde appeared to hint that a deal was possible.
“It's always good for [the press] to ask these questions, but Neymar's at another team now and it's all speculation,” he said, speaking in October.

“We're not even in the transfer market.
“It's a question to distract us all, although you don't know what can happen in football.
“Anything can happen, but it's difficult. We will see."
Le 10 Sport has now reported that Neymar has changed his mind on leaving, and wants to stay in France.

The report cites his new deal with the Qatar National Bank as a sign that he will choose to stay at PSG for longer than expected.
The Parisian side is owned by the Qatari businessman Nasser Al-Khelaifi, who is the chairman of Qatar Sports Investments.
Despite reportedly telling family and friends that his heart was set on a return to Barcelona, it now appears that he will choose to stay in Paris.
One report had suggested that Neymar had a release clause inserted in his contract which stated that in the summer of 2020, he can return to Barcelona for £193m (€215m).
Therefore if he has decided to stay an extra year at PSG, it could well be to allow for his release clause to become active.
