Jorge Mendes practically stabbed Cristiano Ronaldo in the back. The agent of the Portuguese star of Real Madrid has had a very ugly reaction in his last speech in the dispute that maintains the  Real Madrid crack  with the Spanish Treasury: they accuse him of allegedly having defrauded 150 million euros. The Portuguese representative, who also takes the affairs of other great football figures like David de Gea , Manchester United goalkeeper who has been in Real Madrid for a long time, or Colombian James Rodríguez , has completely distanced himself from any kind of financial issue .

The Portuguese representative has stressed that he has had "nothing to do" with the financial affairs of Cristiano Ronaldo . This has been assured in a telematic statement, according to the newspaper  El Mundo. "My only function has been to find the best clubs and the best salaries for footballers", insisted Jorge Mendes himself , who made his speech from Oporto accompanied by his lawyer, Carlos Sáiz . "I have never met with the Garrigues law firm nor with the King & Wood Mallesons office nor have I provided them with documentation about the player," Mendes reiterated .

The dispute that is currently open with the Spanish Treasury has been particularly bad for a Cristiano Ronaldo who has threatened on several occasions over the last few months to leave Real Madrid . The Portuguese, according to his friends, does not feel sufficiently valued by the club that Florentino Pérez presides over and considers that they have left him in the lurch when facing this delicate situation.
