Watch: Edinson Cavani asks Neymar to take the penalty, what happened next is incredible

The last thing Edinson Cavani would want to do is ask to take a penalty away from Neymar only to miss it, there basically isn’t a quicker way to find yourself no longer taking spot kicks for your team.

Ever since Neymar rocked up at PSG at the beginning of the season there has been a weird relationship between himself and his new teammate Edinson Cavani, at times it’s seemed like the town is only big enough for one of them.

The Uruguayan was reported to say “you’re not Messi” when the former Barca man turned up with a list of demands and there has been tension between the pair over who takes penalties.

In fairness recently it’s all calmed down and they’ve looked on the same page as each other as they, along with Kylian Mbappe, have run wild over Ligue 1 and their Champions League group to top both.

But Cavani might be back off his teammates Christmas card list after asking Neymar if he could take a penalty only to miss it:
