Valverde has two covered in the agenda for January (And a player is loaded Barca)

Increasingly clear Ernesto Valverde plans the Barça winter transfer market, and is very clear that the team needs a defender. With Piqué, Umtiti, Mascherano and Vermaelen is not enough, especially since the last two offer no guarantees. 

The option for Yerry Mina seems that it will not run until next summer, so Valverde has put on the agenda the name of two defenders who would join immediately. 

Iñigo Martínez and José María Giménez are the chosen ones. The first was already on the agenda last summer but finally the operation did not materialize, while the second has lost the confidence of Diego Simeone at Atletico Madrid and Barca could take advantage of it. 

The problem of Giménez is that he could not play Champions when he is already registered by Atlético. Iñigo, on the other hand, has a clause of 32 million euros. 

The two players like Valverde very much, and the arrival of one of the two would imply the immediate exit of Vermaelen, while Mascherano would be relegated to the central fourth.
