Lionel Messi reveals the four Champions League biggest rivals of Barcelona

Lionel Messi has been in stunning form this season, especially in La Liga, but recently is going through a goal drought, having not netted in the last five matches.

We all thought the Catalans will struggle to cope without the likes of Neymar, who joined Paris Saint-Germain for 222million euros during the summer.

But Ernesto Valverde has done an impressive job, leading the team to the top of La Liga table, winning 11 matches and drawing two of their 13 games played so far.

They currently have an eight point lead over their bitter rivals Real Madrid.

However, Lionel Messi has now revealed the club he believes will cause Barca problems in the Champions League’s latter stages.

In an interview with German Magazine Kicker, as per ESPN, Messi said: “[Man] City have been one of the strongest teams so far this season together with PSG.”

“But the season is still young; I would never discount Real Madrid because of their class and experience, even though they aren’t picking up the expected results at the moment,” Messi continued.

“Nor Bayern Munich – Bayern are the other big team that will be ready come the end of the season.”
