Jose Mourinho’s top January target revealed
Manchester United started the season perfectly.
The Red Devils – under the guidance of Jose Mourinho – scored an impressive 16 golas in their first five league matches.
Everything was going perfect, with summer arrival Romelu Lukaku scoring goals for fun.
But everything started to fall apart in October, with Paul Pogba picking up a serious injury, while Henrikh Mkhitaryan and Lukaku dropped out of form.
That has resulted with United winning only one of their last four matches, falling eight behind leaders Manchester City.
And it’s evident they need to strenghen in the January transfer window in order to keep pace with their local rivals.
BBC reported last week that the club have told Mourinho he needed to sell first in order to buy.
The Portugese coach spent 150million pounds during the summer, signing Lukaku, Victor Lindelof and Nemanja Matic.
However, Independent are reporting now that the former Chelsea coach has identified Valencia’s Carlos Soler as his No. 1 January target.
Soler made his professional club debut only in December last year, but has played a key part in the club’s resurgence since then.
It is said that Valencia would be willing to sell but not under 40million pounds.
At just 20-years-old, Soler’s lack of experience means the transfer may be a gamble, but his potential could make him a world-class player of the future.
