Good news Barcelona’s star has been given permission to join man united

Manchester United have been shown that Benfica will hear bids for defender Alex Grimaldo.

Napoli are also interested for  the player, however Jose Mourinho is expected to make the first bid for the player.

The Portuguese coach wants to reinforce the defense in January after problems with Luke Shaw, Daley Blind Matteo Darmian, who are not in shape.

Grimaldo is the product of the Barcelona academy, ”La Masia”, as he moved to Benfica in 2015.

Since this year, Grimaldo is a regular part of the Portuguese club formation.

And now Benfica’s chief executive Domingos Oliviera has announced the good news for Manchester United and Napoli.

“All of the Benfica players have a certain market. Now you have some differences, the oldest guy we have in the team is Julio Cesar who is 38 years old and youngest is Miles Svilar who is 18.

“The players with over 30 years, it is difficult to transfer them although for example Jonas, our best striker, when we hired him he was already 30.

“But for a player who is 25, 26, 27, or younger at 22, 23, 24, there is a huge market.

“I am not talking specifically about Grimaldo, but all players with those conditions, they have a market”, said Oliviera.
