Chelsea tipped to make £100m January transfer window offer

Chelsea set to move for Mauro Icardi?

The Sunday Sun have a big claim today regarding Chelsea and a player they will supposedly bid big for in January.
Chelsea will attempt to sign Inter Milan captain Mauro Icardi in January for a cool 100 million pounds.
This would make Icardi the most expensive Premier League player ever. The Sun suggest Chelsea need to add firepower to their side in order to chase down early pace setters Manchester City.

Why Chelsea won’t be signing Icardi…

After some outlandish claims, Henry Moore details why Icardi will be hard to sign.
First off, Icardi would prefer a big-money move to Real Madrid. Secondly, Inter Milan will not let their star man and captain leave in January.
Inter Milan stood firm against Manchester United when they attempted to sign Ivan Perisic Nerazzurri are likely to act in a similar manner over Icardi.

Will Mauro Icardi ever move to the Premier League?

Mauro Icardi has been linked with plenty of Premier League clubs before, including Chelsea’s London rivals Arsenal.
Icardi has started the season on fire, with 11 goals in 12 matches for Inter Milan.
Inter Milan have enjoyed an excellent start to the season in Serie A, and currently sit third, which means it is almost a given that they would not give up their star player.
Icardi has also returned to the Argentina squad in recent weeks and would likely not want to jeopardise his chances of a World Cup opportunity by moving in January.
Chelsea have been tipped to move for Everton’s Ross Barkley again in the January transfer window. They are also thought to be keen on a back up striker to Alvaro Morata after missing out on Fernando Llorente.
