Antonio Conte gives injury update on Chelsea’s missing man N’Golo Kante
Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has said that he will make decision tomorrow over N’Golo Kante’s inclusion or not in the squad for Sunday’s clash with Manchester United.
The France international missed the west London side’s recent matches after picking up a hamstring injury while on international duty.
He was expected to come back against Roma in midweek, but wasn’t included in the squad, despite travelling with the rest of the team.
But Conte hopes his star will be available for match against United on Sunday, although he isn’t sure whether he will be included.
Speaking at his pre-match press conference, he explained: ‘He’s progressing well and we have also tomorrow and then I’ll take the best decision for him and for the team.
‘But for sure he’s progressing very well and I’m very happy with this. You know very well we are talking about an important player.
’ He continued: ‘Honestly if I wanted to risk him I could do this against Bournemouth, I could do this against Roma. Instead I waited.
‘I found in myself a lot of patience to find the best way for N’Golo. ‘It means if I decide to put him in the team and start the game it is because he is ready. I repeat, I could have done this against Bournemouth and Roma.’
