What Cristiano Ronaldo has told Real Madrid about his new deal is just so typical

Cristiano Ronaldo has turned his season around, and in some style.
The Portuguese did not start the new campaign off well at all. In his opening 8 games in Spain's top tier this season Ronaldo had only notched once, which is well below his usual standards.
The 33-year-old had no problems finding the net in the Champions League, but no matter how hard he tried, goals were just hard to come by in La Liga.
To make matters worse, off the field problems were curtailing his performances on the pitch, and his situation at Real Madrid seemed to reaching an alarming point as strong rumours circulated that he was ready to leave the club.
However, he has turned his form around spectacularly, having now scored 22 from 23 games in the league, with 18 of those coming in just his last nine games.

PARTIES STILL DISAGREE ON RENEWING CONTRACT

With his form massively improving in recent months, talks have been held in regards to a new contract for the Portuguese at Los Blancos.
According to Marca, the Spanish giants will offer Ronaldo a deal which would see him earn roughly €30 million, plus bonuses.
However, Ronaldo is believed to be unhappy with the offer. Mundo report that sum of money is simply not enough for the five time Ballon d'Or winner.
The Spanish publication state that Ronaldo deems it an unacceptable offer, as that would put him below what Neymar and Lionel Messi earn.
So, what does Ronaldo want?

The report states that Ronaldo is convinced that he is the world's best, with his goal-scoring record and the accolades he has earned in the past few years giving him that notion.
And as a result, the Portuguese simply wants a contract that would make him the world's best paid player: he wants his side to match that of Lionel Messi's, plus one euro.
Yes, you read that right. He is willing to accept any offer which exceeds Messi's contract, even if it's marginally greater.
Money is not the motive for the former Manchester United man. The Portuguese just wants to be recognised as the best, and therefore will not accept any contract given to him that does not reflect that.
That's just typical Ronaldo.
