Barcelona news: Lionel Messi chats with Ernesto Valverde
Messi is currently on international duty with Argentina although remained on the bench as they beat Italy 2-0 on Friday.
But the 30-year-old made his feelings known at Barcelona before swapping club for country.
According to Spanish website Diario Gol, Messi held a meeting with Barca boss Valverde where he was scathing about some of his team-mates.
Messi believes there are five players who are not up to scratch at the Nom Camp.

Andre Gomes, Paco Alcacer, Aleix Vidal, Lucas Digne and Denis Suarez are the quintet who have lost faith from the Argentinian superstar.
Spanish midfielder Suarez, 24, is the closest to being a first-team player but has seen his playing time limited in recent months.
And with Philippe Coutinho arriving from Barcelona in a staggering £142million deal in January and Barca closing in on the signing of Gremio midfielder Arthur, Suarez’s days look numbered.
Big things were expected from Gomes following his £42m switch from Valencia in the summer of 2016, but he has been overtaken by Paulinho in Barca’s midfield ranks.
Striker Alcacer has long looked out of place in Barcelona and is set to move on despite six goals in 17 appearances this term.
Full-backs Vidal and Digne have also been deemed not good enough by Messi, with their places in the team currently occupied by Sergi Roberto and Jordi Alba.
