Antonio Conte has revealed what he told Lionel Messi at full-time of Barca 3-0 Chelsea

While Manchester United went out of the Champions League with a whimper when they fell at home to Sevilla on Tuesday, Chelsea exited the competition with their heads held high.
Barcelona beat the reigning Premier League champions 4-1 on aggregate thanks to a 3-0 victory at the Nou Camp on Wednesday and, once again Lionel Messi stole the show.
Of the four goals the Spanish giants managed over the course of the tie, Messi scored three of them and provided a brilliant assist for Ousmane Dembele to score the other.
The 30-year-old has now scored 100 Champions League goals during his career and it took him 14 fewer games than eternal rival Cristiano Ronaldo to do so.
Messi was the clear difference over the course of the two legs and the BT Sport panel of Gary Linker, Frank Lampard and Rio Ferdinand were all enamoured with what they saw from the Argentine superstar.
Chelsea boss Antonio Conte made a beeline for Messi as soon as the final whistle was blown and the Italian could be seen smiling with the man who had just knocked him out of Europe.
After the game, Conte would reveal to Spanish based ESPN journalist Samuel Marsden exactly what he told Messi.

“When you have the opportunity to make a great compliment to Messi, it’s right to recognise a super, super, super top player. I’m very pleased to have the opportunity to give him my compliment.”
Conte couldn’t help but tell Messi how good he is and who can blame him? Sometimes you have to admit when you’re well beaten and Chelsea, despite giving it a great go, were.
Conte continued to lavish praise on Messi at the post-game press conference and he labelled the forward the ‘best player in the world’.
