Eden Hazard’s father confirms big news over his son’s future

Thierry Hazard, the father of Eden Hazard, claims that his son has rejected a contract extension with Chelsea and says that his son is waiting for his transfer to Real Madrid to be materialised.

The 26-year-old returned to his best last term helping Chelsea win the Premier League title after a poor season with the Blues.

However, he has continued impressing this campaign and, although his deal expires in June 2020, rumors are growing that he might move to Real Madrid.

Hazard’s father Thierry confirmed that his son is playing a game of waiting with his deal at Chelsea, wanting to keep the door open for a move to the Santiago Bernabeu side.

“What I can reveal about Eden is that he refused a contract extension,” Thierry Hazard told Le Soir.

“This was so that, if necessary, he could follow the interest of Real, whom he could see himself playing for.

“But, as of right now, there is no contact from Real Madrid. Eden is only one of the parties involved in his future.”
