Chelsea squad vs Atletico Madrid revealed ahead of Champions League clash
Antonio Conte aims to balance targeting a victory to top Group C with preparations for Saturday trip to West Ham
David Luiz will be absent once more when Chelsea play Atletico Madrid in the Champions League.
Luiz - like forward Charly Musonda - has a knee problem as Blues boss Antonio Conte aims to balance targeting a victory to top Group C with preparations for Saturday's trip to West Ham.
Striker Michy Batshuayi was an unused substitute for the win over Newcastle, so could feature.
Conte said: "Atletico are always a strong team, before and now. They are in a good moment of form, but it’s the same for us.
"The game will be open because Atletico Madrid will try to win the game, and it’ll be the same for us.
"The only difference is that the final result for them is very important, and for us we have already qualified, but at the same time a great team has to play every game to try to win."
Provisional squad: Courtois, Caballero, Rudiger, Alonso, Fabregas, Drinkwater, Kante, Morata, Hazard, Pedro, Bakayoko, Moses, Kenedy, Zappacosta, Willian, Batshuayi, Cahill, Christensen, Azpilicueta, Clarke-Salter, Sterling, Eduardo, Ampadu.
