Barcelona star has decided to leave in January

Javier Mascherano has decided to leave Barcelona in January.

But the club aren’t liking this situation, with Samuel Umtiti out with a long-term injury.

However, the Argentine defender had let the club chiefs know about his decision before Umtiti’s injury, and isn’t planning on changing it.

Mascherano has taken the huge step as he feels he’s not an important part of Ernesto Valverde’s plans anymore.

The Argentina international wants to play for another side, maybe because he wants to be at his best form before the World Cup in Russia next year.

He’s decision to leave is so strong that he has given an ultimatum to the Catalans to react as soon as possible.

His representative Walter Tamer currently is in Barcelona to solve his client’s future.
