World class striker “has asked” Barcelona to pay his £87m release clause
Atletico Madrid striker Antoine Griezmann has repotedly “asked” Barcelona to activate his £87m release clause.
The France international is looking to sort out his future and has given a “ultimatum” to the Catalans, reports Don Balon.
Griezmann prefers a move to Camp Nou instead of Manchester United.
But if Barca hesitate to make move for him, the 26-year-old will look for alternative options, with United a likely destination.
It is said that Barca have calmed their interest on Girezmann after his drop of form this season.
He has scored only six goals in 16 appearances this term.
Currently, Atletico sit eight points behind league leaders Barcelona, and fans are already questioning Griezmann’s commitment.
