Ernesto Valverde in war with Barcelona’s board over this amazing player

Barcelona are interested in the transfer of Athletic Bilbao’s star, Aymeric Laporte.

But coach Ernesto Valverde seems to be opposed to this transfer because he does not want him in his squad.

The 23-year-old has long been linked with a move to Barcelona after making his debut with Bilbao in 2012.

The French representative has also been linked with Chelsea and Manchester City last summer, one year after he renewed his contract with a £58m buyout clause.

But Mundo Deportivo writes that Laporte can now be transferred to ”Camp Nou” to reunion with Ernesto Valverde.

However, the Spanish newspaper writes that the player is not preferred by Valverde.

Barcelona’s bid for the player may be considered by Bilbao as the player does not want to leave La Liga.

So his transfer to Barcelona may well be in the coming summer.
