Cristiano Ronaldo has named the three players Real Madrid should have never sold

It’s more than fair to say that Real Madrid are struggling this campaign after winning La Liga and the Champions League last season.

Madrid were shockingly defeated 2-1 by Girona at Santiago Bernabeu last Sunday, and lost 3-1 away against Tottenham in the Champions League three days later.

However, one of the main reasons of this drastic drop of form is Cristiano Ronaldo, with the Portugese being far from his best this season.

He scored against Spurs two days ago, but had an interesting reason to why his side isn’t performing at the highest level currently.

In an interview with BeIN Sports, Ronaldo said: “All the players who left this summer made us stronger.

“It’s no excuse, but players like Pepe, James (Rodriguez), (Alvaro) Morata … made us stronger.
