Chelsea news: Eden Hazard talks Real Madrid transfer - I’ll leave Blues when I’m ready

EDEN HAZARD has reiterated his “admiration” for Real Madrid and claims he will leave Chelsea when he is ready.

Eden Hazard has made no attempt to hide his feelings for Real Madrid and has long been linked with a move to the Bernebeu.

The Belgium international is yet to force through a transfer and has insisted he is still happy at Stamford Bridge.

However, he has suggested he has no intention of sticking with the Blues long term, claiming he will leave when he gets the desire to move on.

“I am always very fine at this club,” Hazard told French broadcaster Canal+ following Chelsea’s 4-0 win over Qarabag.

“I still have two years of my contract.

“When I feel the desire to leave, I’ll leave. But, for now, I’m a Blue.

“We know the admiration that I have for Real, but I’m at Chelsea. Every year, things were said about me but I stayed.

Lampard Liverpool advice

11.25: Chelsea can beat Liverpool if Antonio Conte opts to play Eden Hazard AND Willian following their stellar displays against Qarabag in the Champions League.

If there’s any question that’s arisen from tonight it’s that last season we saw a lot of Willian and Hazard buzzing around a front man,” Lampard told BT Sport.

“It was [Diego] Costa last year and [Alvaro] Morata now.

Chelsea scouting in Turkey

10.30: Chelsea were among the clubs scouting a trio of Besiktas players on Tuesday night.

The Blues were alongside Roma, Milan and Crystal Palace to run the rule over Cenk Tosun, Tolgay Arslan and Oguzhan Ozyakup.

Besiktas were playing Porto and drew 1-1 in the Champions League.

Hazard contract talks

09.50: Chelsea have begun talks with Eden Hazard over a new deal, according to reports in Belgium.

Hazard is on Real Madrid’s radar and Chelsea are keen to extend his deal and rewards performances with a bumper new package.

HLN claim Chelsea want to make Hazard the highest paid player in the Premier League and have told him he can fulfil his ambitions in London.

However Hazard still has dreams of playing for Real Madrid one day and knows it could be now or never as he turns 27 in January.

Owen on Liverpool vs Chelsea

09.10: Michael Owen thinks Liverpool have the advantage over Chelsea this weekend.

Liverpool drew with Sevilla on Tuesday night and have an extra day to work ahead of Saturday’s game.

And Owen said: “They’ve got to straightaway look at the positives. A draw would have been acceptable going into it.

“They have a lot of positives going into the Chelsea game. They’ve got an extra days rest and less travel.”

Conte angry

08.45: Antonio Conte has hit out at the scheduling of Chelsea’s game with Liverpool, claiming he only has one day to prepare following their Champions League clash.

Chelsea beat Qarabag last night to book their place in the last 16 of the Champions League.

And they face Liverpool on Saturday.

“To have only one day to rest and only one day to prepare (for) this big game is not simple, is not easy. I think also it’s not right,” he said.

“I don’t want to make excuses, but this is the reality.”

Hazard discusses exit

08.00: Eden Hazard insists he is happy at Chelsea.

Real Madrid have a long-standing interest in the 26-year-old, with Zinedine Zidane keen to add a Galactico to his books.

While admitting he has a soft spot for Los Blancos, Eden Hazard isn’t considering leaving the Blues anytime soon.
