Man United fans will be surprised with whom Juan Mata has named as his best teammate ever

Juan Mata has enjoyed an excellent career as a player, having had the chance to play for clubs like Real Madrid, Chelsea and now Manchester United.

He has also 41 caps with Spain, winning the World Cup in 2010 and Euro 2012.

This means the offensive midfielder has had the chance to play with some great football talents, including David Villa, Eden Hazard, Fernando Torres, Xavi and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.

However, when asked to name the best player ever he has played with, he went for Andres Iniesta.

He said: “If I consider the best footballer I played with, I look at someone that was not particularly quick, strong or tall. Iniesta.

“When we played for Spain he always passes the ball to you in the right moment. He always makes you better.

“It was the same with Zidane. His individual qualities were incredible.

“When I was in Real Madrid reserves I used to train with Zidane, Ronaldo, Beckham, Raul. All great players but Zidane made everyone look better.”
